An important legacy of the FABRIC Arts Festival in collaboration with WeLoveFallRiver and Rhode Island School of Design was the production of a new city guide mapping its unique cultural experiences. Made in Fall River lists food, experiences, landmarks, the products, the historical narratives tied to the city’s industrial heritage, and how Fall River relates culturally to the rest of the world as a home to so many migrant communities.

"This festival is a huge opener for a lot of history and culture. And the fact that, it is so rooted in having artists like Mal Devisa, Portuguese Artists that are from this area, asking us to play... we're literally from 15 minutes up the road... It's a really humbling experience to know that so much love, energy and effort can be put into something like this." Victoria Ruiz, Downtown Boys

"The city of Fall River is, in many respects, a tremendously sophisticated city because we’re looking at people from around the world who bring their experiences here. You can go almost anywhere in America and find a city that is comparable to Fall River. But in most of all those cases, there won’t be the cultural mix, the melange, you know, there is here. That’s huge strength for this city. You see it on everything from the food, the way people work and how to relate to one another and the community aspect is strong." Michael Van Der Sleesen, Vanson Leathers Inc.
